Research title

Teaching and learning the creative process with digital auto-ethnography

Research summary

Creating spaces for reflexivity: Student empowerment and technology mediated spaces for reflection

The research project is a multi-stranded series of studies exploring themes around dialogic reflection and technology supported reflective processes in creative practice. My research area intersects education research, digital technologies and arts practice. This research directly feeds into my teaching, curriculum development and module design as well as my own making practice. Drawing is central to my practice which utilises traditional approaches, the sewing machine, the digital voice recorder and more recently performance to explore this.
