School of Education at Glasgow College UESTC Summer School in Chengdu

In July 2019 Oscar Odena, form the schools of Education and Interdisciplinary Studies, taught a course on the neuroscience of music appreciation to 34 students at the Glasgow College UESTC International Summer School in Chengdu, China. Glasgow College UESTC is a joint venture between The University of Glasgow and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. The photo above includes Odena next to the Summer School organisers, students, teaching assistants and lecturers from the Glasgow school of Engineering (Whittet) and from the universities of Pécs (Tarrósy) and Christopher Newport (Colvin).
Dr Odena said, 'It was great to teach an international group of students, including from Rwanda, Ghana and China, and to experience first-hand one of the UofG campuses in China. The staff at Glasgow College UESTC made us feel very welcome'
