The Centre for Robert Burns Studies are delighted to support the newly formed Ellisland Farm Trust, created to promote and develop Burns's first home with his wife as a site of great significance in both the life of the poet and in the development of British and European Romantic song.
In this talk, Prof Gerry Carruthers discusses Burns's life and work during the time he lived at Ellisland Farm (1788-1791) before going on to explore some of the opportunities for the site to become a key visitor attraction and research centre focusing on Romantic song.
