Greenock Burns Club are delighted that the following distinguished speakers will be contributing to this special event.
- Professor Gerard Carruthers – (Francis Hutcheson Chair of Scottish Literature, University of Glasgow) and a Co-Director of the Centre for Robert Burns Studies. “Editing Robert Burns for the Twenty First Century”
- Kevin Gallagher (Shaw Scholar, Centre for Robert Burns Studies, University of Glasgow). “There are no facts, only interpretations”: Burns and Scottish Modernism”.
- Moira Hansen (Lord Kelvin Adam Smith Doctoral Scholar, Centre for Robert Burns Studies, University of Glasgow). “More akin to the crying than the laughing philosopher”: melancholic dialogue in the correspondence of Robert Burns and Frances Dunlop”
