I am Lord Kelvin Adam Smith Fellow in Data Science at the School of Computing Science, where I integrate within the Information, Data and Analysis Section. I am also a member of the Extreme Light Group a the School of Physics and Astronomy.

Biography: I studied Physics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2006-2010) and then I got a MSc in Photonics by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2010-2011). After that I joined the Quantum and Atom Optics Group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona as a PhD student to investigate the fundamentals and applications of the conical refraction phenomenon, under the supervision of Prof. Jordi Mompart. After finishing my PhD on November 2015, I remained at the QAOS Group as a Postdoc. During 2017-2018 I was a Postdoc researcher at the Neural Circuits Max Planck Research Group at the Center of Advanced European Studies and Research in Bonn with Dr. Johannes Seelig, working in multiphoton microscopy, adaptive optics, and wavefront shaping. 
During 2018-2019 I was Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lebiniz Institute of Photonic Technology in Jena with Prof. Tomas Cizmar and I shared a joint affiliation with the University of Glasgow at the group of Prof. Daniele Faccio, where I investigated machine learning techniques to see in complex environments and LiDAR. 
​Since September 2019 I am Lord Kelvin Adam Smith Fellow in data Science at the University of Glasgow. My interests expand from imaging deep inside the tissue, in particular the brain, to signal processing, optical computing, and machine learning/artificial intelligence.
