Data Lab MSc funded places 2019-20
To help meet the demand for Big Data skills, the Scottish Funding Council and European Social Fund have identified funding for students to study programmes related to The Data Lab with selected University partners in Scotland. The Data Lab MSc is a collaborative effort between The Data Lab and Scottish Universities with the aim of developing the required capabilities in data science, to assist in closing the skills gap currently being experienced by the industry, and to support the Scottish economy.
Glasgow's School of Computing Science has been awarded funding to support at least 9 postgraduate taught places on its MSc in Data Science in Session 2019-20. Funded places are available for entry in September 2019 and are awarded on a competitive basis based on academic excellence. Candidates must have an offer of a place (unconditional or conditional) on our programme by the stated deadline to be considered (there is no separate application process for this funding). In addition to the funding, The Data Lab MSc programme includes a cross-university data challenge competition, additional employability training and industrial placements for funded students throughout the academic year. Further information is available on The Data Lab web site.
