My research is located in using autobiographical performance practice to challenge dominant socio-political narrative arks of Scotland’s liberalisation with LGBTQI+ rights.
As a practitioner and academic, I am interested in how conceptions of the self and identity is used in forming communal histories and narratives and the implications this has for public conceptions of minority groups.

My work explores queer history/identity, gay male masculinity and acts of care. I am interested in autobiography as material and choreographic movement based practice. I have shown work at multiple venues in Scotland and for different performance contexts including performance festivals, cabarets and clubs.
