Issued: Mon, 18 May 2015 10:07:00 BST

The first meeting of CulturalBase, the new two-year project to create a social platform on cultural heritage and European identities, was held at the University of Glasgow on 14 May. Funded by the European Commission under the Horizon2020 Programme, through its research and policy development CulturalBase will seek to influence the EC's research agenda on cultural heritage, cultural memory and cultural creativity. The core academic partners, aside from Glasgow's CCPR, are the Universities of Barcelona, Sussex and Paris I, together with the European University Institute and the Central European University. Interarts of Barcelona is the non-academic partner. Philip Schlesinger is CCPR's principal investigator on this project.
