Lesley Thornton-Cronin wins ARTES Essay Medal

Lesley Thornton-Cronin, formerly a student an our ‘Art: Politics: Transgression: Twentieth Century Avant-Grdes MLitt’, and currently studying for a PhD with Prof. Hopkins, has been awarded the ARTES  Juan Facundo Riaño Essay Medal for her essay 'Image-Making by Means of Metaphoric Transposition in the Work of Joan Miró'.

An award ceremony took place at the Spanish Embassy, London, on 20th March 2014.

Another notable success among our modernist students is Stephanie Straine’s recent appointment to the curatorial staff at Tate Liverpool. Stephanie was also a student on the MLit in 'Art: Politics: Transgression'.
