Undergraduate Students

An exciting, new Erasmus partnership agreement was set up with the Kunsthistorisches Institute of the University of Bonn, Germany, in 2007. This represents a unique opportunity to spend a year studying at this large and prestigious department, which is one of Germany's best institutions for the study of History of Art. The year in Bonn is open to Junior Honours students of History of Art who have the requisite German language skills and a good proven academic record.

If you are interested in the possibility of studying in Bonn, please arrange to speak to Dr Debbie Lewer - well in advance, during your second year at the latest. She will be very happy to answer any questions you may have.

Postgraduate Students

Each year, Postgraduate Research students are given the opportunity to participate in a research colloquium with staff and postgraduate students of the University of Bonn. Further details will be distributed by Dr Debbie Lewer .

The second annual Glasgow-Bonn Workshop was held in Bonn, 2-5 June 2010. Several postgraduate students and staff flew to Bonn to participate in a cultural exchange at the University of Bonn. This included a session of research papers, delivered by Bonn and Glasgow students, and one day a visit to Schwarzrheindorf, where Harald Wolter-von dem Knesebeck was the guide, and to the Arp-Museum in Rolandseck, returning to Bonn by boat.
