The Geriatric Medicine Group - Keeping in touch

The Geriatric Medicine Group in New Lister Building Campus, like many staff, have mostly been working from home since the end of March, apart from those with clinical commitments. 

The Group have however been keeping in regular contact via Zoom and here are some of them working hard during a recent Zoom call.

A fruitful secondment to Public Health Scotland for Dr Jenni Burton (Clinical Lecturer) to work on covid-19 in care-homes data

SCMH Clinical Lecturer in Geriatric Medicine, Dr Jenni Burton, was seconded to work with Public Health Scotland on ‘Discharges from NHS Scotland Hospitals to Care Homes 1st March to 31st May 2020’. This work was commissioned by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport to better understand hospital discharges to care homes during this period, testing and COVID-19.
