Collaborations between researchers at Strathclyde and Glasgow have resulted in a successful 5-year BHF-funded programme grant.

The project is entitled ‘A multicellular endothelial signaling web coordinates vascular function and is impaired in hypertension’ and is led by Prof McCarron at Strathclyde university, with Prof Touyz at Glasgow.

Bringing expertise together in a ‘Team Science’ approach will help understand how endothelial cells network and how dysfunction of this networking contributes to hypertension.
