Mrs Carol Jenkins retired on December 5th!
Carol Jenkins has been a University staff member for 40 years. She spent the majority of her career as a research technician at the Royal Infirmary, where she attained her MSc, and moved to the West in 2012. Since then, Carol has been working as a technician in Professor Touyz’ research group , and has been a much-valued addition. Carol was very much our “go-to” for training new lab members of any level. Her patience and good humour, coupled with her extensive scientific knowledge and experience (not forgetting her enormous and eclectic music collection, and devotion to Sir Andy Murray), have enabled her to pass on her skills to so many of us, within SCMH and further afield.
Carol has been a real asset to the group and to the School, and we will miss her very much, but we wish her all the very best for a long and happy retirement
