The National Student Survey

‌The National Student Survey (NSS) gives you the chance to feedback what you have enjoyed about your time studying at the University of Glasgow and any areas that you feel could be improved. Results from the survey provide valuable and helpful information to prospective students when deciding where to study and it also allows the University to recognise success and areas for development.

What previous students have said

Accounting & Finance student

"The teaching staff are extremely helpful, supportive, approachable, and are passionate about their course or module. They genuinely want the best for each and every student. My course (BAcc with Finance) has given me the opportunity to study a broad range of subjects and modules (including Law, Statistics, Economics as well as a variety of numerical and theoretical accounting and finance modules) which is stimulating, useful in life and helpful across studies. The range of assessment methods (exams, class tests, individual and group assignments) makes learning more interesting and varied. The sense of community in our course, the social aspect, and meeting and working with different and like-minded people has been the best aspect of studying the BAcc."

Business and Management student

"One of the biggest positives has been the flexibility of the course load. In addition to my compulsory courses, I have had the chance to take courses suited to my individual interests, which has significantly affected my personal motivation and intellectual stimulation in a positive way. Aside from that, at honours level especially, the administrative support I have received from my school has been excellent. The school has also introduced changes to the way assignment and exam feedback is returned to students and has been a great help. I have even received audio-video feedback, which was of great help in preparing for what came next."

Economics student

"Teaching from world experts, outstanding library, beautiful campus, fantastic city with little excuse for boredom, huge number of active societies, opportunities for extracurricular development, wide choice of courses, excellent reputation, good teaching facilities. Notwithstanding areas for improvement, I have immensely enjoyed my degree and know Glasgow University was the right choice."

Joint Business and Management, and Economics student

"All courses were very intellectually stimulated and in interesting relevant areas. Lecturers were experts in the fields they taught and could convey their knowledge effectively. The assignments allowed practising transferable skills with interactive tutorials and workshops. Many courses I took were also relevant for the real working environment."
