Q: Does registering for the Graduate Award mean I am registered for the activities I have chosen?

A: No, you must register for all the activities separately. You will receive further information on how to register for all the different activities.

Q: How many activities do I need to choose to achieve the award?

A: You must choose four activities, one from Enlightened, one from Engaged, once from Enterprise and a fourth from any.

Q: How will I know I am choosing the right activities?

A: Each activity has an information page for you to research the activity further, there is no wrong activity. It depends on what you think you would enjoy and achieve the most experience from.

Q: Will all my activities appear on my timetable?

A: No, the only activity that will appear on your timetable is the Advanced English course (if you choose it). It is your responsibility to ensure you have no timetable clashes.

Q: Is there a timetable for the Graduate Award?

A: Not at the moment, this is something the graduate award team are working on for the future.

 Q: Will the award be open all year round?

A: The award will only be open until August 2018 whereby all activities must be completed in order to qualify for the Award.

Q: Can I choose more than four activities?

A: You can attend as many activities as you want as long as you complete one from each category. You only need to choose four for the award. 

Q: What happens if an activity is full and there is no space left?

A: You will be given the opportunity to choose another activity from that category.

Q:  What will happen if I do not attend all my chosen activities?

A: You will not receive the Graduate Award at the end of the year if you have not completed all 4 chosen activities.

Q: Does the Graduate Award affect my overall degree programme?

A: No the award will not affect your overall degree, this is in addition to your chosen programme of study

Q: How do I register for the activities?

You will also receive a ‘What’s On’ e-newsletter each month with information on activities running.

Q: What is the ‘What’s On’ e-newsletter?

A: This will be sent every month and will provide you with further information on each activity running that month with dates and details on how to register.

Q: How long will I need to wait for a reply when I send an email to the Graduate Award Team?

A: Please allow 3 days for a reply. The Graduate Award Team will try to answer your email as quickly as they can.

Q: Can I attend part of an activity and still be awarded?

A: No you must attend the duration of the activity.

Q: What happens when I miss an activity and cannot make another one?

A: You would need to contact the main contact for that activity to see if there is anything you can do and if not then you would need to choose another activity from that category in order to qualify for the award.

Q: What happens if I fail an activity that is graded?

A: You will have an opportunity to pick another activity.

Q: When will the Graduate Award show on my HEAR report?

A: The Graduate Award will show on your HEAR report after graduation.
