About the Award
About the Award
As a postgraduate taught student, you are invited to take part in the Adam Smith Business School Graduate Award.
The Graduate Award recognises the valuable skills and experience you will gain as part of extracurricular activities undertaken with your postgraduate taught degree programme. The Award will acknowledge your commitment and achievements from taking these additional activities and will represent the breadth of your skills in developing you as an Enlighten, Engaged and Enterprising graduate.
What's in it for me?
By completing the Graduate Award, you will receive a certificate upon graduation and acknowledgment of the Award on your HEAR. HEAR stands for Higher Education Achievement Report – an extended degree transcript which details both your academic and extracurricular accomplishments.
What will it involve?
The Graduate Award has three categories - Enlighten, Engaged and Enterprising. You will be required to take four activities in total from these categories as follows:
The Legacy of Adam Smith: Going beyond Economics, Smith stressed the importance of what we have termed "the three E's".
- one from Enlighten
- one from Engaged
- one from Enterprising
- and a fourth one of your choice from any of these categories.
These categories represent the areas of the Adam Smith Business School which we believe will provide you with the skill-set and knowledge to enhance your student experience. By selecting from these categories, you will develop your skills in the areas of careers and employability, personal development, social and cultural activities and network practice.
