Biography
Kurt is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Supply Chain Analytics at Adam Smith Business School. He studied at University of Waikato, New Zealand and Arizona State University, USA for his Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management. He obtained double Master’s degrees in Logistics Management and Transport Management from University of Sydney. In 2015, he completed his PhD in Engineering from University of Cambridge.
Kurt joined the School in June 2020. Prior to that, he was a Lecturer in Operations Management at University of Birmingham. Before joining academia, Kurt has worked in industry for an international logistics firm based in China and for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Consulting in Sydney, Australia.
His current research involves the exploration of sustainable supply chain management in the new Big-Data era, business model innovation within the context of Industry 4.0 and its impact on traditional supply chain management.
