Adam Smith Business School academics initiated a collaborative workshop to facilitate engagement with research with Nankai University in China.

As part of our International Strategy to build and expand upon international links and activities,  Adam Smith Business School academics initiated a collaborative workshop to facilitate engagement with research with Nankai University in China on 12th – 13th October. Dr Frank Liu, Dr Daniel Hung, Dr Nan Hu and Mr Hao Peng all from the Finance Cluster attended this workshop. They achieved the following outcomes from the session:

•    Shared understanding of challenges and opportunities around each of the research themes;

•    Identification of opportunities for new partnerships and strengthening of existing partnerships (with potential to tap into the NSFC Funding opportunity);

•    Formation/strengthening of overall academic networks in the research fields between the Glasgow University and Nankai University.

The key focus of this conference is collaboration across the Finance group and with a range of potential contacts for other departments within the school. The delegation believe the workshop will strengthen the existing collaborations and facilitate new links.
