The Services and Operations Management Cluster includes members whose research is in the general areas of operations management, management science and innovation. Members work to understand and generate solutions to problems in the delivery of the services and goods that generate value for organisations in the public, private and third sectors. Research in the cluster looks at everything from the development of new products (both goods and services) through to how processes to deliver established goods and services can be improved and the risks associated with delivery can be reduced. Research ranges from examining cutting edge digital innovation to learning from the past through archival research. Members use a range of different methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, and mathematical modelling.
