Issued: Thu, 16 Feb 2017 11:59:00 GMT

Congratulations to Professor Mehdi Boussebaa who has had his article ‘Control in the multinational enterprise: The polycentric case of global professional service firms’ shortlisted for the 2017 Urwick Memorial Prize.

The prize is awarded by the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants for an outstanding piece of research relevant to management consultancy recently published in the UK.

This Prize commemorates the life and work of Colonel Lyndall Fownes Urwick, a distinguished management consultant, writer, educator, and one of Britain’s pioneers of scientific management. In 1934, established management consultancy practice, Urwick, Orr & Partners, and in 1969, a foundation was originated in his name for the purposes of furthering management education.  An academic panel, active in the area of management consultancy, identifies research that might be eligible for the award.

The winning Cup will be presented at the annual Education Supper on the evening of 6 June 2017 in London. Winners will also receive a certificate acknowledging the award.

Mehdi will now prepare a short submission to the Assessment Panel outlining his research and how it meets the criteria for the award.

We wish Mehdi well for his submission to the Panel.
