Jagat holds Masters in Economics from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA, and bachelor in Industrial Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia. His PhD research study is funded by College of Social Science Scholarship and Prof. Donald J. Robertson Scholarship. He also studied at St. John University, Manhattan campus, and University of California Santa Cruz as a grantee of the US Department of State.
Prior to his PhD, he had five years' work experiences in the Financial Service Authority of Indonesia, the Central Bank of Indonesia, and Astra Toyota Insurance company. He also experienced as a project assistant in TOTAL EP Indonesia, jointly working with IBM consulting, and four years' experience as a teacher of natural science in his hometown. Aside of doing his research, he is now actively working as a Top Rated Freelancer in Upwork Global Inc., specializing in economics research, statistics and tutoring students across countries. His clients are spread mainly in Europe, India, Canada, and the United States. He has great interest in policy research oriented under macroeconomics, monetary policy and economic modelling.
