Professor John Tsoukalas
Leading expert on European crisis

Professor of Economics, Professor John Tsoukalas, is joining academics from London School of Economics and University of Cambridge, to speak at a high profile event to discuss the role of institutions in economic growth and development in Athens, Greece this week.

In recognition of his work as an expert on the European financial crisis, Professor Tsoukalas was invited by the Greek conservative party to speak on the subject of economic policies to reverse the economic hardship in Greece.

The event has been organised by the Institute of Democracy, ‘Konstantinos Karamanlis’, an affiliate of the Greek conservative party.

The event, attended by members of the parliament and the senior team of Greek conservatives, is an excellent opportunity to showcase how research at the Adam Smith Business School can be influential in shaping public opinion on the European and Greek crisis, and how it can influence policy.

The Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy (CKID) is a non-profit organisation, founded for the purpose of examining and analysing social, political and economic issues.
