Adam Smith Scholar Award 2017 all undergraduates

Outstanding undergraduate students who achieved a First-class Honours degree have been awarded the Adam Smith Scholar Award for Excellence.

This new award promotes, recognises and rewards the highest levels of scholarly performance and supports the School’s vision, mission and values. It recognises those students, awarded a First-classHonours degree who have excelled academically, demonstrated intellectual inquisitiveness and shown their potential to contribute significantly in their chosen fields.

Professor John Finch, Head of School welcomed the achievers to a special ceremony in the Gilbert Scott building and presented each with a certificate to mark their success.

Speaking about her time studying for an MA Honours Degree in Business and Management at Adam Smith Business School, Indiana Bonar (22) Fife, said: “I’m more confident and ambitious in my capabilities. I took part in Adam Smith Peer Support and worked front of house at the charity fashion show which gave me great networking opportunities and pushed me to develop.”

Professor Finch said: “We are committed to developing world-class learning and teaching programmes for engaged, enlightened and enterprising graduates. The Adam Smith Scholar Award for Excellence recognises those students who have distinguished themselves by demonstrating academic excellence, engagement and innovation.
