We were proud to welcome Dr Thórarinn G Petursson; Chief Economist of the Central Bank of Iceland as a guest speaker of the Adam Smith Business School's Practitioner Seminar Series, who presented to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.

Biography 

Since 2009 Thórarinn G. Pétursson has been the Chief Economist of the Central Bank of Iceland as well as serving as Director of the Economics and Monetary Policy Department. Mr. Pétursson is also a member of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee since its inauguration in 2009. He is also an Associate Professor at Reykjavík University (on leave). Mr. Pétursson has a PhD in Economics from Aarhus University in Denmark.
