Adam Smith Business School’s Professor Nuran Acur is leading a new project in collaboration with MVLS to improve healthcare for the benefit of local women in rural areas of Indonesia.
Working alongside the School’s Dr Stephan Von Delft and Professor Sandosh Padmanabhan from the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing, the project aims to bring together expertise in medicine, management studies, social sciences and information and communication technologies from organisations in Indonesia and the UK.
The project combines healthcare and data analytics solutions in a novel way to develop an interactive digital health ecosystem for the screening and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes.
The one-year project is funded by the British Council, Newton Fund and will run from January 2019-2020.
