Professor Mehdi Boussebaa has been selected for the prestigious ‘High-end Foreign Experts Program’ run by the Chinese State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA).

This will enable Professor Boussebaa to conduct research on the fast-emerging sector of professional services in China over a period of three years. During his time in China, Professor Boussebaa will also teach a course on international management with a specialist focus on professional service firms, run publishing workshops for faculty and doctoral students, and build collaborative links at his host institution, the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.

Professor Boussebaa’s first trip to China will be in July; he will travel there once or twice a year during the next three years. He previously visited Shanghai in 2014 at the invitation of the University of Tongji (School of Economics & Management) to teach on its MBA and Beijing in July 2017 at the invitation of the University of International Business and Economics to teach on its International Summer School and deliver a keynote at its 4th Forum on Intercultural Business Communication.

The High-end Foreign Experts Programme is aimed at foreign experts wanting to work in China for short periods of time. The goal is to recruit "leading experts in natural science and technology, humanities, and social science, or internationalized innovative teams capable of achieving critical technological breakthroughs, advancing the high-tech industries and promoting new disciplines."
