FinTech Friday: Gill Boston
Gill Boston, Regulatory Finance Consultant, Nude Finance
Friday 5 March 1pm - 2pm GMT
Each month we host our FinTech Friday series, taking place on the first Friday of every month. Hosted by Adam Smith Business School, we invite inspiring and innovative practitioners, who will discuss with us their rich industry insight, experiences, and current trends within this exciting industry.
In March we focussed on RegTech, an often critical consideration, and potential source of competitive advantage, for both FinTech companies and financial services more broadly. We explored the exciting area of RegTech, discussing how key developments and trends are helping to transform the industry, with University of Glasgow alumna, Gill Boston.
Gill is currently the Regulatory Finance Consultant for Nude Finance, a start-up that believes in giving first-time buyers the tools and advice they need to begin their journey towards home ownership.
In conversation with Gill, we discussed her career journey from studying Maths at the University of Glasgow, to working in FinTech, focussing on her current role with Nude Finance and the importance of organisations embracing technology.
This session was hosted by Dr Dominic Chalmers, senior lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Programme Manager for the MSc Financial Technology.
There was also an opportunity to participate in a Q&A with Gill.
This event took place via a Zoom webinar.
