Women Entrepreneurship Week
Women Entrepreneurship Week is a global network that celebrates women in entrepreneurship around the world. This is the second year that the Adam Smith Business School has supported this event, bringing together a panel of inspiring females involved in entrepreneurship, either as entrepreneurs or in support of entrepreneurs.
We want to bring forward women entrepreneurs as role models and to play our part in sharing their entrepreneurial journey for others to learn from and to celebrate what they’re doing.
Our panel of empowering women come from a range of entrepreneurial backgrounds. Pooja Katara is a recent graduate of the University of Glasgow and founder of UK SENSEcity. As a developing entrepreneur, she recently won the Creative Challenge category at this year’s Converge Awards. Marwa Ebrahim is also a graduate of the University of Glasgow and founder and director Atypical Cosmetics, a multi-award winning digital technology start-up that customises skincare products for consumers. Finally, Anastasia Sideri, Communications Director, Central and Eastern Europe, for the Coca Cola Company, will provide a different perspective of entrepreneurship in a supporting role, talking about the 5by20 programme.
Anastasia will talk about Women's Empowerment, 5by20 programme
Marwa will talk about her entrepreneurial journey of developing the Atypical Cosmetics products and service
