The Adam Smith Business School was delighted to welcome Mr Lida Liu, CEO of Galaxy Asset Management, as a guest speaker of the Adam Smith Business School Practitioner Seminar series. Mr Liu gave an overview of financial reform in China and also elaborated on diversification and cross border investment.

Mr. Lida Liu, MBA in Finance from University of Wales (Bangor), is the CEO of the Galaxy Asset Management Co Ltd. Having worked at People’s Bank of China from 1988 to 2008 Mr Liu successively served as Research Fellow at the Theoretical Research Division of the Institute of Financial Research. Then serving as Section Chief at the Capital Market Division of the Research Bureau and Deputy Research Director at the Monetary Policy Division.
Having joined China Galaxy Financial Holdings Co Ltd. in June 2008 Mr Liu successively served in various senior roles including General Manager of the Equity Management Department and board member of Galaxy Insurance Brokers Co. Ltd.
Mr. Liu has produced multiple publications including Core journals in both academic and professional fields. In 2007 he translated and published the book titled “Global Private Banking and Wealth Management: The New Realities”.
