Internationalisation forum welcomes Chinese Deputy-Consul General

The Deputy-Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Edinburgh, Mr Limin Zhang, attended a forum at the Adam Smith Business School to discuss internationalisation and innovation. The forum was organised by the Sino-UK Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association (SUKIEA).

Forum guests included a representative from bio-medical firm Mode Diagnostics, the firm’s group leader in charge of the Scottish division, and leading members of the Traditional Chinese Medical field in the UK. The forum was attended by members of SUKIEA, researchers and PhD students from Scottish Universities, and local entrepreneurs.

The forum, which was organised by Xiaofei Zhou, a doctoral student in the International Business and Entrepreneurship cluster, was held on 27th March. This was the second year that SUKIEA ran a major workshop. In 2016, the Association offered a practical session for aspiring entrepreneurs, with mainly engineering backgrounds. The workshop covered model design, market analysis, marketing, venture capital and supply chain management.
