Practitioner Seminar: What does an economist actually do?

We were pleased to welcome Mr Kenny Richmond; Director of Economics at Scottish Enterprise to the School as a guest speaker of the 2016-2017 Practitioner Seminar Series, who spoke about what an economist actually does.

Kenny Richmond is the Director of Economics at Scottish Enterprise, Scotland’s main economic development agency. Kenny has been with Scottish Enterprise for 15 years, and prior to that was a researcher at the University of Glasgow’s Training & Employment Research Unit.
Kenny’s role at Scottish Enterprise is managing and carrying out research into the performance of the Scottish economy and economic impact appraisals and evaluations of economic policies.
