Barbara Testa

Barbara graduated from the University of Milan, Italy, in 2000, where she worked for other two years in the equine sport medicine department. She then moved to a 24/7 small animal practice, working as a first opinion and emergency vet for 14 years. During this time, she developed a true passion for emergency and critical care and anaesthesia, which brought her to the UK in 2016 to attend a small animal anaesthesia and analgesia internship at the University of Edinburgh. Barbara continued at this University as junior clinical anaesthetist until August 2018, then she moved to the University of Glasgow to start a residency and MVM in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia. She is a third-year resident now with a particular interest in anaesthesia in the critical ill patient (of any species) and all aspects of analgesia.
