The University of Glasgow James McGill Scholarship


The College of Social Sciences has introduced scholarships, available to graduates of McGill University who apply to the Masters programme at the University of Glasgow, commencing in September 2017. The scholarships will be awarded as a tuition fee waiver.


Applicants must be:

  • nationals of (or permanently domiciled in) Canada.
  • in the final year of their undergraduate degree or have graduated from McGill University in the last five years.
  • hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place for one the programmes above (full-time only, excludes PgDip and PgCert).

How to apply

  • You must secure an offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place for one of the eligible programmes.
  • Your application should be received by 15 December 2016 which consists mainly of a 400-word personal motivational statement.
  • Following the closing date, a joint Glasgow/McGill panel will select candidates.
  • All applicants will be informed of the outcome by 15 January 2017.
