Travel Scholarships (Donor Funded)

Description

The University of Glasgow is delighted to offer a range of scholarships for those who are going to study abroad.

Eligibility

Henry Baxter (£500 - £800)

Scholarships are available to current students of the University of Glasgow participating in the GoAbroad for Summer programme.

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be: 

  • a current student of the University of Glasgow;
  • accepted on the GoAbroad for summer programme.

Anselmo Franceschi Scholarship (£500)

This scholarship is available to current students of the University of Glasgow participating in one of the GoAbroad programmes at partner institutions in Italy. 

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be: 

  • a current student of the University of Glasgow; 
  • accepted on one of the GoAbroad programmes.

Eligible countries:  Italy

Victor Lim Scholarship (£750)

This scholarship is available to current students of the University of Glasgow participating in one of the GoAbroad programmes at partner institutions. 

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be: 

  • a current student of the University of Glasgow;
  • accepted on one of the GoAbroad programmes.

Graeme Kelly Scholarship (£550)

This scholarship is available to current students of the University of Glasgow participating in one of the GoAbroad programmes at partner institutions. 

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be: 

  • a current student of the University of Glasgow;
  • accepted on one of the GoAbroad programmes.

Doris Scott Gibson Travel Scholarship (£500)

This scholarship is available to current students of the University of Glasgow participating in one of the GoAbroad programmes at partner institutions. 

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be: 

  • a current student of the University of Glasgow;
  • accepted on one of the GoAbroad programmes. Priority will be given to registered students of Modern Languages going abroad for full year.

Francis & Marta Johnson Scholarship (£1,300)

Scholarships are available to current students of the University of Glasgow participating in the GoAbroad programmes at partner institutions in North America. 

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be: 

  • a current student of the University of Glasgow;
  • accepted on the GoAbroad programme. Eligible countries:  USA, Canada. Priority will be given to student reading for Chemistry.

Edmond & Adeline Clark Travel Scholarship (£400-£800)

Scholarships are available to current students of the University of Glasgow participating in one of the GoAbroad programmes. 

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be: 

  • a current student of the University of Glasgow in College of Arts;
  • accepted on one of the GoAbroad programmes.

How to apply

Students will automatically considered and the award will be made on the quality of their GoAbroad application. 

Candidates will be informed of the outcome in July, when the final academic approvals are made after the end of term exams.  Candidates for GoAbrood for Summer will be informed of the outcome in March/April.
