Carnegie Cameron Postgraduate Bursaries

Description

Carnegie-Cameron Taught Postgraduate Bursaries are awarded towards the payment of tuition fees for one-year taught postgraduate Masters programmes offered by a Scottish university. The bursaries aim to enable students to enhance their employability in their chosen field, develop their specialist skills or supplement existing ones, thus bettering their career prospects.

Carnegie-Cameron Bursaries for academic year 2017-18 have been suspended following the Scottish Government’s decision to introduce tuition fee loans for postgraduate masters. This means the bursaries will not be available for academic year 2017-18 while the Trust reviews the impact of this policy change on its funding strategy and consults with the Scottish academic community about future funding options.

The decision does not affect part-time students currently in receipt of a bursary for academic year 2016-17 who are due to complete their course next year. Nor does it affect any student offered a bursary for 2016-17 and subsequently deferred entry to September 2017. In both cases, the Trust will honour its commitment to the students and continue the funding in 2017-18.
