Barclay Scholarship

Description

Founded in 1983 in memory of William Barclay, minister and theologian in Glasgow. Offered to a suitably qualified graduate student of Theology, from a university outwith the United Kingdom, who proposes to pursue full-time study or research in the University of Glasgow in a subject falling within Theology and Religious Studies. The scholar will reside in Glasgow and work under the supervision of a member of the academic staff in Theology and Religious Studies.

Eligibility criteria: These awards are available to students who are graduates of a non-UK university. Priority may be given to students from beyond Europe. Awards are based on academic excellence and merit.

This award is available for applicants holding an offer and currently registered students. To be considered for this award, the University must already have received your application and accepted you - conditionally or unconditionally - by the application deadline.

Priority may be given to applicants whose research project aligns with the subject area's research expertise.

    Value of award: Varies from year to year, usually £5,000 (to be paid as fee waiver)

    Duration of funding: 1 year (with the possibility to renew in subsequent years of study)
