Undergraduate Degree Programmes

Neuroscience and Psychology are disciplines which are rapidly developing new insights into the brain functions which underpin consciousness, organise behaviour and underlie disorders such as mental illness.

All the honours degree programmes extend over four-years of full-time study. In Psychology, we offer single honours and joint honours programmes with a broad range of subjects in Arts, Science and Social Science, including English, Management Studies, Languages, Mathematics, Statistics, Computing Science and Neuroscience. All of our Psychology degrees are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) for the graduate basis for registration.

Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of Glasgow is rated very highly for both research and teaching. In the 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise, Psychology at Glasgow retained its position as one of the top ten research institutions in the country. We earned the highest grade possible for a very high proportion of research, leading Psychology at Glasgow to be ranked 7th in the UK. For teaching, we are consistently ranked 1st in Scotland and in the top 5 in the UK in national league tables, such as the Guardian Universities Guide and the Times Good University Guide.
