A team made up of students from the Institute of Neuroscience & Psychology, School of Psychology and Health & Wellbeing hosted a stall at the Riverside Museum as part of Explorathon19.

The Rhythms of the Brain team showed members of the public their brain activity in real-time using electroencephalography (EEG). The team used this opportunity to collect data on whether certain brain rhythms (alpha) change throughout the lifespan, and whether these rhythms are linked to feelings of tiredness and fatigue.

Overall, the event was extremely popular, particularly with children, and the team managed to collect data from 200 people over two very busy days.
