EQUIPMENT
We have two widefield, inverted microscopes with motorized stages – a DeltaVision Core (AppliedPrecision) and a Leica DMi8. The motorized stage allows a precise focus and automatic acquisition, plus z-stack and tile scanning.
They use LEDs for sample illumination and have filter sets for the blue, green, red and far-red channels, plus DIC and brightfield.
They are equipped with Huygens deconvolution algorithm, allowing the removal of the blurring of out-of-focus light during image acquisition.
The Leica DMi8 microscope is connected to a workstation where users can use SVI software for batch deconvolution.
Both microscopes have a laser module that allows FRAP experiments.
