The Institute of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation receives a Bronze Departmental Award

700x300

‌We're very pleased to announce that the Institute of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation has been successful in its application for a prestigious Athena SWAN Bronze Departmental Award. ‌

The Athena SWAN awards, managed by the Equality Challenge Unit (ECU), recognise commitment to tackling gender inequality in higher education. The University of Glasgow has now held an Institutional Bronze Award since 2013.

The Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, the School of Engineering, the School of Psychology together with the Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology (joint submission) and the School of Medicine were all awarded an Athena SWAN Bronze Award.

One institute and one school at the University were also successful in their Athena SWAN Silver award applications. The Institute of Biodiversity, Animal Health and Comparative Medicine received an upgrade to a Silver award while the School of Physics and Astronomy had their Silver Award renewed.

We'd like to offer our congratulations to our fellow University of Glasgow Institutes and Schools on their successful applications.  Most importantly, we'd like to thank the 3I's staff whose hard work has helped the Institute achieve its Bronze Award status.
