This programme was inaugurated in 2014 and every year selects 25 individuals, who have shown potential in their early careers to work towards improving cardiovascular heart and preventing cardiovascular disease globally. They are supported by online trainings and a 5-day think tank seminar led by leaders in global cardiovascular health where they participate in developing group project proposals aligned with the annual programme theme. This year’s programme will focus on CVD and diabetes.

Dr Dewan is supervised by Prof. John McMurray and Dr Pardeep Jhund and her research focusses on the impact of socio-economic factors and multimorbidity on outcomes in heart failure. Her PhD is supported by a University of Glasgow scholarship.

Congratulation to Dr Dewan on this great achevement.
