Dr Welcome Wami

Biography

Welcome’s background is in Applied Statistics and Biostatistics. He obtained his PhD from the University of Edinburgh and holds a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from the Center for Statistics, Hasselt University, Belgium. Previously, he has worked as a Statistical Research Consultant, Biostatistician and Data Analyst. At MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, Welcome provides statistical support for several ongoing projects within the unit. His interests include statistical epidemiology, analysis of complex population health interventions, survey designs and longitudinal data analysis. He enjoys working and connecting with professionals from across different research fields.
