Dr Lucy Thompson

Research interests

Dr Lucy Thompson is a research fellow in the Mental Health and Wellbeing research group.  She trained as a psychologist and public health specialist, and her research focuses on infant mental health and parenting in the early years.  Previously, she worked in a senior research role in the National Health Service in Scotland for over 7 years focusing on evaluation of publicly funded health services, mainly with regard to children's early development.  As well as being a co-investigator on a number of research projects, including the evaluation of the Glasgow City Parenting Support Framework, she coordinates an international research network based at the Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre in Gothenberg, Sweden.  Dr Thompson's work involves regular visits to Gothenburg and the GNC affiliated research centres in Europe and beyond.
