wall of sticky notesThe HEHTA  team presented ‘The Health Minister’s Dilemma’ in a child-friendly format and combined this with a thought-provoking ‘Value Tree Exercise’, measuring quality of life, giving the pupils an insight into the decision-making processes involved in health economics. The activites were aimed at introducing the idea of trade-offs/prioritisation when allocating resources with a fixed healthcare budget and understanding what aspects of healthcare the children would choose to fund, when presented with a number of options. Around 200 children took part throughout the morning, with very positive feedback from pupils and teachers alike.
