IHW staff get on their bikes!
Six volunteers from the Institute of Health and Wellbeing - Angela Henderson, Craig Melville, Sally Wyke, Laura Hughes-McCormack, Andrew Jahoda and Jill Pell – put their health promotion rhetoric into practice on 09 September 2018 by cycling from Glasgow to Edinburgh as part of the Pedal for Scotland event.
Pedal for Scotland "provides safe and engaging routes suitable for all ages and abilities while supporting charities by providing a platform for successful fundraising". £2,165 of the team's £3,000 target has been raised so far, and donations can still be made on their Just Giving page with all funds going directly to the Institute of Health and Wellbeing, to help support research into improving health and reducing health inequalities.
Congratulations to the six staff who completed the challenge, and a big thank you to everyone who sponsored them.
