The MVLS Public and Patient Involvement & Engagement (PPIe) team delivers PPIe activities to enable patients and the public to have their voices heard.

PPI can make research more meaningful and relevant in MVLS and across the University.

Our newsletter, the Glasgow Research Involvement Network (GRIN), provides an opportunity to extend the range and scope of patient representatives and communicate PPIe training events for staff and patient representatives. We will be sending out these quarterly newsletters to everyone interested in public involvement in clinical and health-related research. We would be grateful if you could share a GRIN with others who are interested in public and patient involvement. In the October newsletter we identified our drop-in PPIe surgeries enabling staff to discuss PPI plans and costs for research proposals (29 Nov/13 Dec 2019), workshops to increase PPI knowledge and skills, and MVLS Steering group meetings to provide lay advice to researchers on research proposals.

Anyone can contribute content and we would especially like to hear about your involvement activities.  The second edition will be in January 2020 so if you would like to be on our mailing list, advertise a PPIe event or talk about PPI, please email public-patient-involvement@glasgow.ac.uk
