  • Updates on forthcoming public engagement opportunities that will help build your skills and experience.
    Tuesday, 20th August 2019 at 2:00 – 3.30pm
    Room 222/223 BHF Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre
    Learn about the successful Cell Block Science, Explorathon 2019 - Europe’s biggest research-fuelled festival, and details of the exciting new University wide Impact in 60 Seconds. Together with a calendar of key Glasgow events and some top tips on selecting and applying to attend. Presentations will be followed by an open Q&A with refreshments.
    This networking event is open to MVLS Researchers, staff and post graduate students currently involved in public engagement or those who wish to learn more - plus anyone participating in Explorathon 2019.

  • Public engagement funding for Wellcome researchers
    The ScotPEN Wellcome Engagement Award is a pilot scheme to help Wellcome grant holders engage the public with their research. Applicants can bid for up to £100,000 or 5% of their main Wellcome grant. The pilot scheme is being hosted by the MVLS Engagement Team at the University of Glasgow and is designed to improve the number and quality of successful research engagement projects. Inter-institutional collaborations are also encouraged.
    Applications will open in August 2019 and the MVLS Engagement team will support those interested to help develop their application. Please email MVLS-Engage@glasgow.ac.uk to register an interest in this award
