NIHR funds research into effectiveness of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is to give £2,121,388.56 of funding for a programme of research to examine the clinical and cost-effectiveness of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) compared to services-as-usual with children in adoptive or permanent foster placements.

The start date is March 2020 and work will continue until July 2024. IHW and Mental Health and Wellbeing's Professor Helen Minnis will lead the study. HEHTA, Robertson Centre and SPHSU researchers, plus colleagues at the Universities of Oxford and Nottingham, will also be involved.
