Celebrating the recent achievements of and awards to Institute of Health and Wellbeing staff and students

  • Breda Cullen on a successful PhD viva with no corrections, for her thesis 'Cognitive function in people with psychiatric and neurological disorders in UK Biobank'.
  • Marie Kotzur who successfully applied to participate in Cancer Research UK's Research Innovation Workshops and has been invited to attend the "Implementing Digital Health Interventions for Cancer Prevention: Sandpit Workshop" in Maryland, USA in October. The workshop will focus on developing novel and interdisciplinary research approaches to improving the implementation and uptake of digital health interventions.
  • Azari Alhaleel for attaining the degree of PhD for the thesis entitled 'Implementing a national accreditation programme in Kuwaiti hospitals: understanding the impact, facilitators and barriers using a multiple methods approach'.
  • Tom Julyan for attaining the degree of MD for the thesis entitled 'Characteristics and consequences of antenatal exposure to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors'.
  • Gheed Al Salem for attaining the degree of PhD for the thesis entitled 'An assessment of safety climate in Kuwaiti public hospitals'.
  • Daniel Martin for attaining the degree of MD for the thesis entitled 'Investigating the associations, outcomes and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases in affective disorder'.
