IMCSB ECR Committee acknowledgment

Lighthouse laboratories are funded by the UK Government to carry out Covid-19 PCR swab testing. One of these Lighthouse laboratories is hosted by the University of Glasgow on its campus at the Queen Elizabeth University hospital and has been staffed by many scientists on secondment from various parts of the University. A number of iMCSB ECRs and technicians have worked in or are currently working in the Glasgow Lighthouse lab. Some were there from the outset, helping to equip the lab and get the testing process up and running in just a few weeks. Others joined later and were involved in improving the workflow to enable a rapid increase in sample capacity, as well as helping to train new employees before returning to their research in the iMCSB. Everybody worked very hard, including some unsociable hours and very long days. We would like to recognize all their contributions to an important national effort.
